On these special days, people will go to shops at Hàng Mã Street (one of the ancient street in Hanoi, all shops here supply decorating stuff- we have 36 ancient streets. All of their names start with "Hàng" - means "a lot" and the word follow will represent the goods that are sold in these locations. For example, Hàng Bột- Powder Street where you can buy rice powder, or bean powder. Hàng Bạc - silver street where you can find lots of silver shops. And so on.
However, some have been changed the name and the shops there do not supply the traditional goods anymore. For example, Hàng Bột- Powder Street now renamed as Tôn Đức Thắng – from the name of a president of Vietnam.
We buy decorating stuff from Hàng Mã Street for our houses (you can see from the pictures).

Along with traditional flowers, these stuffs are one of our customs to show New Year has come. We use the pictures of children wearing traditional customs and they also hold some blessing papers.
